Export company data as CSV

How to download company data, what the files contain and how to cite the source

All result views in the tool can be exported as comma-separated files (CSV) with source annotation and date. This guide explains how the export works and what you need to know about the file format.

Export from different views

1

Batch export: up to 100 companies

In the batch tab: paste organisation numbers, fetch data, click "Export CSV". The file is named "batch-YYYY-MM-DD.csv" and contains all fetched companies with status and metadata.

2

Address export: companies at a specific address

In the "Companies at the same address" tool: search the address, click "Export CSV". The file is named with the search term and date, e.g. "bolag-storgatan-1-2025-01-15.csv".

3

Cluster export: up to 500 addresses

In the address cluster ranking: click "Export CSV" in the toolbar. The file contains rank, address, city, number of active companies, total companies and latest registration year.

4

Open the file in a spreadsheet program

Files are UTF-8 with BOM (byte order mark) so that special characters display correctly in Excel. In Excel choose "File > Open" and specify UTF-8 as character encoding. LibreOffice Calc handles it automatically.

5

Document the source in your material

The filename contains a date. Also note date columns in the file. Cite the source as: "Swedish Companies Registration Office (Bolagsverket) via mackan.eu/tools/bolagsverket (retrieved [date])".

Columns in the CSV files: Organisation number, Name, Status, Company type, Registration year, Address, City, Postal code. Batch files may contain additional columns depending on available data.

Citation and source attribution

Exported files contain data from the Bolagsverket register. Always state the source when publishing. Verify critical facts directly in Bolagsverket's own services before publication.
