Why do companies share the same address?
Some addresses in Sweden have hundreds or thousands of registered companies. This rarely means that any real activity takes place at the location -- the address more often belongs to a registered agent, an accounting firm or a c/o service where companies pay to have an official postal address on record with the Swedish Companies Registration Office.
The top of the list is dominated by addresses in Stockholm, Gothenburg and Malmö. Many belong to accounting firms and law offices that offer registration services. The list also includes addresses that appear in connection with shell company trading and nominee arrangements. A high company count at an address is not itself a sign of wrongdoing, but it is a useful starting point for investigation.
The data comes directly from the Swedish Companies Registration Office and updated weekly. The company type filter lets you limit results to limited companies only, which gives a different picture than including all legal forms. The map view shows geographic distribution and helps identify clusters outside the major cities.
