PTS merges into Digitaliseringsmyndigheten in 2027
The Swedish Post and Telecom Authority (PTS) ceases as an independent authority on 31 December 2026. On 1 January 2027 PTS merges with Digg to form Digitaliseringsmyndigheten (the Swedish Agency for Digital Administration).
The new authority takes over PTS responsibilities for telecom supervision, the Swedish number register, NIS oversight, and radio spectrum allocation. Existing PTS case numbers and the API remain active during the transition.
The API at data.pts.se remains available during the merger process and is expected to migrate to the new authority's infrastructure after 2027.
