What do the tools under Explore show?

Explore shows how music sits on the fretboard. Fretboard Explorer shows every note and Scale Explorer shows scales and positions. Interval Explorer shows distances between notes and Harmony Explorer shows which harmonies belong to the key. Twin Guitar Harmonizer builds a second guitar voice for your melody.

  • Fretboard: note names, intervals and scale degrees in all metal tunings.
  • Scales: ten scales, seven positions and playback.
  • Harmony: thirds, sixths and octaves, and a finished two-part melody.

In which order should I learn?

Start with Fretboard Explorer to find the notes. Move on to Scale Explorer to see how scales lie. Finish with Interval Explorer and Harmony Explorer when you want to understand why riffs sound the way they do.
