Achievements
Achievements collects what you practise in one place. The tool works from your practice log, your personal bests and your Riff Hero results. It shows which badges you have unlocked, how far it is to the next one and which Brutality level you are on. There are no leaderboards and nothing is sent anywhere. Everything is worked out in the browser and travels with your export of Fabbe data.
How to use it
- Practise as usual. Log sessions in the practice log, or let Speed trainer and Practice Mode log them for you, and play charts in Riff Hero.
- Open Achievements. New badges appear at the top with a marker, and every badge has an unlock date.
- Choose a weekly goal, the number of practice days per week, and follow how many days you have left this week.
- Follow Next goals to see what is closest and how much is missing.
Which badges are there?
The badges are grouped by what they measure. Every badge has a clear condition and shows how far is left.
- Sessions: the first session, and 10, 50 and 200 logged sessions.
- Clean sessions: 10 and 50 sessions that you judged as clean.
- Time practised: 1, 10, 50 and 100 hours.
- Streak: 3, 7 and 30 practice days in a row.
- Tempo: gallop 160, tremolo 180, alternate picking 160 and 200 BPM in any technique, always with clean sessions or personal bests.
- Variety: sessions in five different techniques.
- Riff Hero: the first run, five stars and at least three stars on every chart.
- Weekly goal: the goal reached for one week and for four weeks in a row.
How is the Brutality level calculated?
The Brutality level is one overall level from 1 to 66, worked out from Brutality points. The points are a sum of five parts. You get 1 point per minute practised and 15 points per practice day. You get 5 points per clean session and 40 points per unlocked badge. You also get 10 points per star in your best Riff Hero result for each chart and tempo.
Level 2 needs 15 points, level 10 about 975 and level 66 about 41,700. The levels have names in death metal style, from Garage Novice to Brutality Incarnate.
Frequently asked questions
Where are my badges stored?
The badges are worked out again every time you open the tool, from data that is already in the browser. Only your weekly goal, the unlock times and which badges you have acknowledged are stored, and they travel with the export of Fabbe data.
Do badges disappear if I delete a session?
No. A badge that has once been shown as unlocked stays unlocked, even if the sessions that earned it are deleted later.
How is the Brutality level calculated?
As an explained sum: 1 point per minute practised, 15 per practice day, 5 per clean session, 40 per unlocked badge and 10 per star in your best Riff Hero results. Level 66 needs about 41,700 points.
Is there a leaderboard?
No. Badges and level are for you. Nothing is compared with anyone else and nothing is sent to a server.
How do I set a weekly goal for guitar practice?
Choose the number of practice days per week in Achievements. The tool shows how many days you have left this week, counted from your logged sessions. Reaching the weekly goal gives badges for one week and for four weeks in a row.
How is a streak counted?
A streak is the number of practice days in a row, counted from your logged sessions. There are badges for 3, 7 and 30 days in a row.
